Abstract:
Provided is a magnetization method with which it is possible to easily form a Halbach array magnet having desired magnetic force when magnetizing a plurality of magnetic bodies in which at least a first magnetic body, a second magnetic body, and a third magnetic body are arranged in a row. A magnetization method according to one embodiment of the present disclosure includes magnetizing a plurality of magnetic bodies in which at least a first magnetic body (71), a second magnetic body (72), and a third magnetic body (73) are arranged in a row, the method including a heteropolar magnetization step. In the heteropolar magnetization step, heteropolar magnetization is generated in a first magnetization yoke (11) and a second magnetization yoke (21) that face each other in a radial direction with the pre-magnetization first magnetic body (71) interposed therebetween, and heteropolar magnetization is generated in a third magnetization yoke (31) and a fourth magnetization yoke (41) that face each other in the radial direction with the pre-magnetization third magnetic body (73) interposed therebetween. Additionally, in the heteropolar magnetization step, the amount of magnetic flux flowing in the first magnetic body (71) is greater than that in the third magnetic body (73).
