Description:
TITLE: "MAN OR WOMEN TROUSERS"

* * * * *

Field of the invention

The present invention refers to man or woman trousers.

Prior art

Known trousers, which can be made of jeans, velvet, wool, cotton or other fabric, are typically made by interconnecting suitable shaped separate portions through seams.

One of the areas where it is made the above mentioned interconnection is the crotch area, in other words the area comprising the genital area of the trousers wearer.

Particularly, known trousers have a central seams centrally extending along the crotch area, which contacts the wearer genital organs. Such phenomenon is particularly relevant with trousers having a high crotch, in other words with trousers which are tight on the genital and perineal area of the wearer.

Despite the considerable diffusion of such trousers, which are particularly appreciated for their outer aspect, it is known that they can cause serious problems to the health, particularly to the genital organs.

In case of female wearers, it is almost impossible to prevent the crotch seam partially entering into the female genital organ, which in turn can cause inflammations or pathologies which can be also serious, such as the vulvodynia.

In case of male wearers, on the contrary, the pressure exerted by the seam of the crotch, particularly in the testicular area, can cause a vascular constriction with the following risk of pathologies such as varicocele, which in turn can cause sterility or erection problems.

Trousers, according to the prior art, are described in documents US 2010/037368 A1 , US 2005/091728 A1 , US 4 785 480 A, CA 655 354 A, US 5 159 721 A.

Summary of the invention

Therefore, it is the object of the present invention to make available trousers, for man or woman, such to overcome the disadvantages cited with reference to the prior art.

Specifically, an object of the present invention is to make available trousers which are not constricting and do not exert hazardous actions on the wearer genital area, being at the same time aesthetically pleasant.

This and other objects are met by trousers according to claim 1.

Dependent claims define possible advantageous embodiments of the invention.

Brief description of the figures

To better understand the invention and appreciate its advantages, in the following will be described some of its exemplifying non limiting embodiments, referring to the attached figures, wherein:

Figures 1 a and 1 b are respectively a front and back views of trousers according to a first embodiment of the invention;

Figure 1 c is a view of the trousers in Figures 1 a and 1 b in a disassembled state;

Figures 2a and 2b are respectively a front and back views of trousers according to a second embodiment of the invention;

Figure 2c is a view of the trousers in Figures 2a and 2b in the disassembled state;

Figures 3a and 3b are respectively a front and back views of the trousers according to a third embodiment of the invention;

Figure 3c is a view of the trousers in Figures 3a and 3b in the disassembled state.

Detailed description of the invention

Referring to figures, trousers are indicated by reference number 1 . Trousers 1 , according to the invention, are adapted to be worn both by female and male wearers, because, as it will be explained, its features make it particularly advantageous for both.

Trousers 1 , according to the invention, can be made by different fabrics and/or processings such as, in a non-limiting exemplifying way, cotton, wool, silk, viscose, jeans, velvet, jersey, gabardine, or the like. Preferably, trousers 1 are of the high crotch type, in other words they are tight on the crotch area of the wearer when is worn by the latter.

Trousers 1 comprises a first leg portion 1 and second leg portion 3, respectively adapted to receive the corresponding legs of the wearer. For example, first leg portion 2 can be adapted to receive the wearer left leg, while second leg portion 3 can be adapted to receive the wearer right leg. First and second leg portions 2, 3 are made by extended tubular bodies adapted to completely or partially surround the wearer legs.

First and second leg portions 2, 3 comprise respective front portions 2', 3', and back portions 2", 3". Front portions 2', 3' face the front side when the trousers 1 are worn, and therefore they are the portions adapted to cover wearer knees, while back portions 2", 3" are the portions opposite to the front portions.

Trousers 1 further comprise waist portion 4 adapted to surround the wearer waist. Waist portion 4 has generally a tubular shape and first and second leg portions 2, 3 extend from it. In the same way, waist portion 4 comprises a front portion 4' and a back portion 4", in this case the terms "front" and "back" must be understood in the same way as the above mentioned front portion and back portion of leg portions.

Waist portion 4, first leg portion 2 and second leg portion 3 can have in turn different shapes, in other words they can in turn comprise interconnected sub-portions, particularly seamed so that to form the finished trousers. For example, the corresponding front portions 4', 2', 3' and back portions 4", 2", 3" of waist 4 and leg portions 2, 3 can be integrally made or can be separated one from the other and seamed one to the other. Possible shapes of waist portion 4, first leg portion 2 and second leg portion 3 will be particularly described following with reference to preferred embodiments of the invention.

Trousers 1 further comprises a crotch portion 5 arranged between first 2 and second leg portions 3 extending between front portion 4' and back portion 4" of waist portion 4. Crotch portion 5 is arranged and shaped so that to cover the genital area, and preferably also the perineal area, of the wearer when the latter wears the trousers 1 .

Crotch portion 5 is connected to waist portion 4 and to leg portions 2, 3 by seams 6 which are shaped and arranged so that to be outside the genital area, and preferably also outside the perineal area of the wearer when the latter wears trousers 1 . In other words, crotch portion 5 is devoid of central seams crossing the genital and/or perineal areas. On the contrary, seams connecting crotch portion 5 to the reminder of the trousers bypass such area, which therefore is not subjected to stresses caused by the central seam of the traditional trousers. In this way, trousers 1 , according to the invention, is not just comfortable but at the same time markedly reduces the risk of compressing and inflaming the genital organs of the wearer, and therefore also the risk of associated pathologies. The seams 6 extending around the genital and/or perineal areas do not compromise the appearance of trousers 1 , which can be shaped according to the aesthetic in-fashion standards without particular limitations.

Crotch portion 5 is integrally made with at least one among waist portion 4, first leg portion 2 and second leg portion 3, and is connected to the remaining portions with which it is not integrally made by the above mentioned seams 6. For example, as it will be shown, crotch portion 5 can be integrally made with waist portion 4, particularly with front portion 4' of waist portion 4, and can be connected by seams to first and second leg portions 2, 3. Trousers of Figures 1 -3 are made according to this way.

Advantageously, crotch portion 5 is integrally made and is devoid of seams for connecting its portions. Therefore, crotch portion 5 is already adapted to prevent constrictions on the genital organs of the trousers wearer.

Referring to the attached figures, possible embodiments of trousers 1 according to the invention will be now described. It is observed that in the following description the same elements present in different embodiments are indicated with the same reference number. First embodiment

With reference to Figures 1 a-1 c, a first possible embodiment of trousers 1 is shown. Specifically, Figures 1 a and 1 b respectively shows a front and back views of trousers 1 , while Figure 1 c shows semifinished starting products which, when are interconnected, enable to obtain the trousers of Figures 1 a-1 b. The elements in Figure 1 c have the shapes and arrangements of the known "paper patterns", which are used as patterns for making the above mentioned semifinished products which will form a finished trousers.

According to the shown embodiment, front portion 4' of waist portion 4, front portion 2' of first leg portion 2, front portion 3' of second leg portion 3 and crotch portion 5 are integrally made. Back portion 2" of first leg portion 2 and back portion 3" of second leg portion 3 are separated from them and connected by seams (not shown in figures). Back portion 4" of waist portion 4 preferably comprises in turn a first back portion 104" and a second back portion 204" of waist portion 4 which are separated one from the other and integrally made with back portion 2" of first leg portion 2 and with back portion 3" of second leg portion 3, respectively. First back portion 104" and second back portion 204" of waist portion 4 can be interconnected by a seam 19 for example arranged in the central area of back portion 4" of waist portion 4.

Waist portion 4 can be for example provided with pockets 7, buttonholes 8 for belts and fasteners 9, for example a zip or button fastener.

Crotch portion 5 comprises a proximal portion 10 and distal portion 1 1 which can be integrally made. Proximal portion 10 is in turn integrally made with front portion 4' of waist portion 4. Crotch portion 4 has generally an elongated shape, proximal portion 10 having a decreasing width from front portion 4' of waist portion 4 towards distal portion 1 1 . The latter, in turn, has a decreasing length from proximal portion 10.

In the present description and in the attached claims, with reference to crotch portion 5, it is to be observed that term "width" means the dimension of crotch portion 5 parallel to the distance between leg portions 2 and 3.

When trousers 1 are in an assembled state, crotch portion 5, shaped in this way, is folded towards back portion 4" of waist portion 4, in order to form the trousers crotch. Preferably, distal portion 1 1 of crotch portion 5 is connected by the seams 6 on a side 1 12 to back portion 2" of first leg portion 2, on another side 1 13 to back portion 3" of second leg portion 3 and at its ends 1 19 to seam 19 connecting the first portions 104" to the second back portion 204" of waist portion 4.

Preferably, between proximal portion 1 1 of leg portion 4 and respectively front portion 2' of first leg portion 2 and front portion 3' of second leg portion 3, trousers 1 comprise some pleats 12.

Second embodiment

Referring to Figures 2a-2c, they show a second possible embodiment of trousers 1 . Particularly, figures 2a and 2b show respectively a front view and back view of trousers, while Figure 1 c shows semifinished starting products which, when are connected, enable to obtain the trousers of Figures 2a-2b.

In comparison with the first embodiment shown in Figures 1 a-1 c, second embodiment is substantially distinguished by the cut and the features of the trousers. Crotch portion 5 is substantially shaped as in the first embodiment. Specifically, crotch portion 5 comprises a proximal portion 10 and distal portion 1 1 integrally made. Proximal portion 10 is in turn integrally made with front portion 4' of waist portion 4. Crotch portion 5 has generally an elongated shape, proximal portion 10 having a decreasing width from front portion 4' of waist portion 4 towards distal portion 1 1 . The latter, in turn, has a decreasing width from proximal portion 1 1 . When the trousers are in an assembled state, crotch portion 5, as shaped, is folded towards back portion 4' of waist portion 4, in order to form the trousers crotch. Distal portion 1 1 of crotch portion is connected by seams 6 on a side to back portion 2" of the first leg portion 2, on another side to back portion 3" of second leg portion 3 and at its end to seam 19 connecting the first portion 104" to the second 204" of waist portion 4.

Third embodiment

Figures 3a-3c shows a third possible embodiment of trousers 1 . Particularly, Figures 3a and 3b respectively show a front view and back view of trousers, while Figure 3c shows semifinished starting products which, when are connected, enable to obtain the trousers of Figures 3a-3b.

Trousers according to the third embodiment have a cut and features analogous to the ones of trousers according to the first embodiment, but they are distinguished from the latter by a shape of the crotch portion 5.

Specifically, crotch portion 5 comprises also, in this case, a proximal portion 10 and a distal portion 1 1 integrally made. Proximal portion 10 is integrally made with front portion 4' of waist portion 4 and has a decreasing width from front portion 4' of waist portion 4 towards distal portion 1 1 . The latter in turn comprises a first segment 1 1 1 and second segment 21 1 . First segment 1 1 1 has a decreasing width from proximal portion 10 of crotch portion 5 towards second segment 21 1 of crotch portion 5. Second segment 21 1 has instead an increasing width from first segment 1 1 1 towards the end of distal portion 1 1 . When trousers are in an assembled state, crotch portion 5, as shaped, is folded towards back portion 4" of waist portion 4, in order to form the trousers crotch.

First and second segments 1 1 1 , 21 1 of distal portion 1 1 of crotch portion 5 are connected by the seams 6 to the back portion 2" of first leg portion 2 and back portion 3" of second leg portion 3 forming together, under seam 19, a recess 14 having a shape complementary to the second segment 21 1 shape of distal portion 1 1 of crotch portion 5.

Preferably, between proximal portion 1 of crotch portion 5 and respectively the front portion 2' of first leg portion 2 and the front portion 3' of second leg portion 3, trousers 1 comprise some pleats 12.

From the above description, a person skilled in the art can appreciate how the trousers, according to the invention, are comfortable and not disturbing in the crotch area. In fact, the absence of central seams in the genital and/or perineal areas avoids undesired compressions of trousers against the wearer genital organs or anyway interactions which can cause inflammations and even pathologies.

The crotch portion which achieves the above mentioned effect is aesthetically discrete and therefore does not alter the outer aspect of the trousers.

The person skilled in the art, in order to satisfy specific contingent needs to the above described embodiments of the trousers according to the invention, can add several additions, changes, or substitutions of elements with other functionally equivalent, without departing from the scope of the attached claims.
