Abstract:
Provided are a manufacturing device and a forming method for rotary-component reinforcement carbon fiber reinforced plastic, the manufacturing device forming a ring made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic on an outermost layer as reinforcement for a rotary component having a circular cross section, wherein, in a mold that heats and cures a unidirectional prepreg made of a thermosetting resin wound on the rotary component and carbon fibers, an annular pressure source that applies a desired external pressure to the unidirectional prepreg through the use of own thermal expansion exists between a cavity and the unidirectional prepreg of the mold. The manufacturing device and the forming method are adaptable to mass production, present excellent mass productivity with inexpensive facilities, enable a low manufacturing cost because of the unnecessity of a disposable secondary material and the repetitive reuse of a use member, and are capable of evenly applying a forming pressure in a central direction of the rotary component.
