Abstract:
The objective of the present invention is to provide manufacturing equipment and a manufacturing method with which a film boiling state can be maintained at as low a temperature as possible without increasing ancillary equipment and without extra energy consumption. In this manufacturing method for a thick steel plate that carries out water-cooling of the thick steel plate, a water cooling device having a plurality of sets comprising at least one pair of upper and lower cooling water spray nozzles arranged along the transport direction of the thick steel plate is used to carry out water-cooling of the thick steel plate while the cooling water spraying speed of the cooling water spray nozzles is 0.4 m/s to 30 m/s.
