Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a manufacturing method for a composite between a metal and a fiber-reinforced plastic, with which it is possible to achieve high reinforcement effect while attaining weight saving. Provided is a manufacturing method for a fiber-reinforced plastic composite which has: a fiber-reinforced plastic having a plate-like part and a rib projecting from one surface of the plate-like part; and a metal laminated on a portion or the entirety of the plate-like part of the fiber-reinforced plastic. The manufacturing method comprises: a lamination step for laminating a plurality of sheet-like substrates to prepare a substrate laminate; a substrate heating step for heating the substrate laminate; and a molding step for applying pressure, using a pressure device, on the substrate laminate and the metal within a mold between a rib mold having a recess for forming the rib and a skin mold with no recess, so as to integrate the substrate laminate and the metal, wherein the metal has an average thickness of 0.5-3 mm, the substrate laminate comprises, as the sheet-like substrates, a plurality of incised prepregs which are composed of unidirectionally aligned fibers and a resin, and in which the fibers have, inserted therein, a plurality of incisions traversing the fibers, and in the molding step, θs is less than 60° when θs represents the absolute value of an acute-side angle formed between the alignment direction of the unidirectionally aligned fibers included in the incised prepreg disposed closest to the rib mold and the longitudinal direction of the recess in the rib mold.
