Abstract:
Provided is a manufacturing method for rolling bearing units for wheel support, wherein the current flowing to an electric motor (19) that drives a roll (22) is detected and the time to terminate crimping is determined on the basis of the detected current when forming a crimped portion (13) by way of slanting the roll (22) toward the central axis of a hub body (7) and supporting the roll so as to rotate around the central axis of same and pressing the roll into a cylinder portion (12) provided on an end of the hub body (7) in the axial direction while swinging the roll around the central axis of the hub body (7).
