Abstract:

A map display device is provided with a vehicle position specification means (2) for acquiring the current position of a vehicle, a map DB (7) in which map information is recorded, a map data filtering means (5), and a map display means (4). The map data filtering means (5) has a filtering mode in which the distances between a specific road on which the vehicle is travelling or scheduled to travel and facilities are calculated on the basis of the current position and the map information and facilities each having a calculation result less than or equal to a predetermined value are selected. The map display means (4) displays the icons of the facilities selected by the map data filtering means (5) on a map.
