Abstract:
A mapping ablation catheter according to one embodiment of the present invention treats a lesion site through the insertion of a distal portion into the body, and preferably comprises: a catheter cannula having a guide member provided in a hollow inner space; a monitoring electrode portion provided to encompass the outer circumferential surface of the distal portion of the catheter cannula, and mapping a lesion region while making surface-contact with heart tissue when the catheter cannula is inserted into the heart tissue; an ablation electrode portion provided to encompass the outer circumferential surface of the distal portion of the catheter cannula while spaced from the monitoring electrode portion, and removing the lesion region when current is applied; a plurality of liquid discharge holes provided on the outer circumferential surface of the ablation electrode portion; a current applying portion for applying current to the monitoring electrode portion and the ablation electrode portion; and a liquid-providing portion comprising a liquid-providing tube of which one end is connected to the liquid discharge holes inside the catheter cannula.
