Abstract:
Provided is a marine hose fluid leakage detector that makes it possible to visually ascertain, with greater certainty, leakage of a transport fluid to a fluid retention layer of a marine hose when such leakage occurs. When a transport fluid L leaks to a fluid retention layer 7, the pressure acting on the inside of a casing 10 via a communication tube 20 increases. This pressure variation results in the movement of at least one from among a detection body 12 accommodated in a hollow part of the casing 10 and a partition part 11a comprising a fiber-optic plate disposed on the hollow-part-side surface of a window part 11. Because the detection body 12 becomes closer to the partition part 11a, when the window part 11 is viewed from the outside, the detection body 12, which could not be seen when the same was removed from the partition part 11a, is visible.
