Abstract:
A marine information device (200) includes a fish school detecting module (210a) for detecting fish schools in the water body based on the received echoes, an information calculator (210b) for calculating distance from the water vessel, depth and volume of each fish school in the water body, an image composer (210c) for superimposing one or more markers on the image captured by the camera, based on calculated distance, depth and volume of each fish school, wherein each marker is indicative of presence of one or more fish schools at corresponding location, and a display signal generator (210d) for displaying the superimposed image at a display screen along with distance, depth, volume and other information parameters of each fish school.
