Abstract:
The objective of the present invention is to provide a novel marker of which the orientation, when detected by a detecting device, can be determined without the need for AR or VMP. This marker includes a base plate, and has at least four circular symbols on one surface of the base plate. Two of the four circular symbols form a pair and are located at opposite corners of the surface, and the other two of the four circular symbols form a pair and are located at opposite corners of the surface. The marker is characterized in that the four circular symbols have sizes that satisfy condition (1) or condition (2). Condition (1) One of the four circular symbols is detected to be larger than the other circular symbols in any state of rotation of the marker when the marker, located a predetermined distance from a predetermined detecting position, is detected Condition (2) One of the circular symbols in the one pair and one of the circular symbols in the other pair are the same size, and are detected to be larger than the other circular symbols in any state of rotation of the marker when the marker, located a predetermined distance from a predetermined detecting position, is detected
