Abstract:
Provided is a martensitic stainless steel material having high strength and excellent corrosion resistance in corrosive environments containing SOx or NOx. This martensitic stainless steel material satisfies the chemical composition described in the specification, and also satisfies expression (1). The martensitic stainless steel material has a yield strength of 758 MPa or more and less than 862 MPa. In the martensitic stainless steel material, the number of Mg oxides having an equivalent circle diameter of at least 2.0 μm constitutes at least 40.0% of the total number of Ca oxides having an equivalent circle diameter of at least 2.0 μm, Ca sulfides having an equivalent circle diameter of at least 2.0 μm, and Mg oxides having an equivalent circle diameter of at least 2.0 μm. (1): 0.0010≤Ca+Mg≤0.0050, where the element symbol in expression (1) is substituted with the content of the corresponding element in mass%.
