The present invention provides a martensitic stainless steel round bar which has high strength, excellent SSC resistance and excellent SSC resistance in an environment at 175°C. A martensitic stainless steel round bar according to the present disclosure contains, in mass%, 0.030% or less of C, 10.00% to 14.00% of Cr, 5.00% to 7.50% of Ni, 1.50% to 4.00% of Mo, 1.00% to 3.50% of Cu, 0.01% to 2.00% of W and 0.010% to 0.500% of Co, while having a yield strength of 862 MPa or more. With respect to the central part of a cross-section of this martensitic stainless steel round bar, the cross-section being perpendicular to the axial direction, if [Mo]C is the solid-solved Mo concentration expressed in terms of mass percent, [W]C is the solid-solved W concentration expressed in terms of mass percent, [Mo]R is the Mo concentration in a residue obtained by constant current electrolysis, the Mo concentration being expressed in terms of mass percent, and [W]R is the W concentration in the residue, the W concentration being expressed in terms of mass percent, formula (1) and formula (2) are satisfied.　(1): F1 = [Mo]C + 0.5[W]C ≥ 2.45 (2): F2 = F1/([Mo]R + [W]R) ≥ 13.0
