Abstract:
Disclosed is a massage chair which comprises a seat, a backrest and a foot massaging device disposed in front of the seat, and which can be more simplified in structure and reduced in weight and cost at once. The massage chair, when the foot massaging device is used, enables the user to take a relaxing posture outstretching the feet forward. The massage chair is provided with a back-and-forth mechanism (15) connected to a foot massaging device (5) under a seat (2). When the back-and-forth mechanism (15) moves forward, the foot massaging device (5) floats from the floor into the air in front of the seat (2) and advances to a using position (U), at which the lower limbs of the user can be massaged. When the back-and-forth mechanism (15) moves backward, the foot massaging device (5) is housed in at a housing position (P) formed below the seat (2). At the connected portion between the foot massaging device (5) and a link (20) connected to the foot massaging device (5) as to rock same forward and backward, moreover, a turning-angle restricting member (50) and an erection link (50Z) are disposed to prevent the angle between the link (20) and the foot massaging device (5) from becoming a predetermined angle (θ) or smaller.
