Abstract:
A massaging apparatus with a built-in mechanism for massaging the body of the user by having a supporting structure bearing the user's body operate a treating element. The treating element is contained in an opening in a frame constituting the supporting structure, and its massaging action is applied to the user's body via a cover sheet covering the frame. The opening of the frame is formed between a pair of side members, to which two ends of the cover sheet are connected. Both ends of the cover sheet are each branched into two parts to constitute a pair each of outer and inner extensions, and outer and inner catches are formed on the outer and inner extensions, respectively. On the backs of the side members are formed outer and inner hooks, respectively, which detachably engage with the outer and inner catches, respectively, at both ends of the cover sheet. The outer and inner hooks are respectively provided on the outer side of the back of the side members far from the opening and on the inner side of the same close to the opening, so that, when the outer and inner catches engage with the outer and inner hooks respectively, only the outer extensions cover the front faces of the side members. Since the cover sheet covering the opening in the frame detachably engages, via the outer and inner catches provided on its both ends, with the side members on the both sides of the frame, the cover sheet can be fitted or replaced easily without needing a tool.
