Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a master batch in which the content of an aluminum component is high, pellet strength is high, there is no decrease in the inherent luminance of aluminum particles, and the content of components that cause decreases in the strength of a molded synthetic resin article or defects in the external appearance of a molded synthetic resin article is low. This master batch comprises aluminum particles, a heat-resistant wetting agent, and a resin, and is characterized in that: the proportion of aluminum particles within the master batch is 50-80 wt%; the melt flow rate of the resin is 0.2-60 g/10 min; and the proportion of a wax that is included in the master batch, that has a melt flow rate that surpasses 60 g/10 min, and that has a melt viscosity of 15-8,000 mPa·s at 140 °C is 10 wt% or less.
