Abstract:
Provided are a master clock competition method and system, which are applied to a multistage clock synchronization network. When initialization is conducted or a master clock device fails, a master clock device is obtained by competition from all clock devices which normally operate in a network; and other clock devices conduct clock synchronization with the master clock device as slave clock devices. The master clock device is obtained by competition from all clock devices which normally operate, but is not constant. When it is ensured that the original master clock device in the network fails, it can be achieved to obtain another master clock device by competition from the clock devices, thereby ensuring that the clock devices which normally operate in the network transmit communication data in accordance with a normal sequence.
