Abstract:
The present invention enhances kneading workability and the mechanical characteristics of rubber products by using a masterbatch which includes a sulfide compound (A) and silica (B). The sulfide compound (A) is a chain or cyclic compound effectively comprising a repeating unit represented by formula (I) [in formula (I): R represents a C1–12 straight chain, branched chain, or cyclic alkylene group, a C1–12 straight chain, branched chain, or cyclic (poly)oxyalkylene group, or a C1–12 straight chain, branched chain, or cyclic (poly)thioalkylene group (the alkylene group, (poly)oxyalkylene group, and (poly)thioalkylene group each are unsubstituted or have one or more arbitrary substituent groups); and x represents an integer from 1 to 8], with the number n of repeating units being 1 to 400 and the n repeating units each being the same or mutually different. The silica (B) satisfies the following conditions: the BET specific surface area is 0.1–200 m2/g; and the DBP absorption is 50–300 ml/100 g.
