Abstract:
Provided is a mat fastener which can be handily attached to a carpet. This mat fastener 100 is provided with: a grommet 200, which comprises a base part 201 that engages with the front surface periphery of a mat-fixing hole 102 of the carpet 101 and engagement leg pieces 203 that are inserted into the mat fixing hole to engage with the back surface periphery of the mat fixing hole; and a pin 300 which comprises a shaft part 301 inserted into said grommet and a head part 302 that is inserted into an attachment hole 104 in the mat 103, which is placed over the carpet. By inserting the shaft part of the pin into the pin insertion hole 202 in the grommet, the shaft part pushes open the engagement leg pieces, which engage with the back surface periphery of the mat-fixing hole in the carpet. Further, an engagement unit that prevents the shaft part of the pin from falling out is provided between the grommet and the pin. The head part of the pin is inserted into the attachment hole in the mat, and by rotating the pin, the head part of the pin engages with the front surface periphery of the attachment hole in the mat.
