Description:
MATCHMAKING SYSTEM WITH VERIFIED USER PROFILE AND METHOD

THEREOF

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The invention relates generally to the operation of a user profile matching service on a computer implemented system over a network and a server. Particularly, the present invention relates to identity verification for users of the matchmaking platform based on the information provided by the users.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Conventionally matching services attempt to identify and bring together two people together based on profile data provided by the registered users or subscribers of the platform. Many matching services identify matches by techniques that find people with common personalities, interests and/or beliefs, and other criteria.

The matchmaking system is an online service, where there are innumerable profiles and subscriptions looking for potential partners. Users subscribed to the service may not always be true to their identity. Fake profiles are created and some users may impersonate someone else that they are not. Not all profiles registered may be genuine. Users impersonating another person may use readily available information such as name, date or birth, marital status, and the like of the person they are trying to impersonate. A user impersonating another may also include pictures of the other person in their accounts to further maintain the illusion. This creates a problem both for the matchmaking service provider and the user/ subscriber of the service as this may lead to fraudulent accounts.

Similarly, users may create a fake identity, with a fake name, fake date of birth, fake address and the like. These users may also create multiple online accounts using this fake identity, such as a blog account, an email address account, a social networking system account and the like.

Hence, there was an imminent need to at least verify the Identity of the user so that fake profiles can be minimized. Based on the identify proof submitted by the user, the present invention attempts to verify the identity proof with appropriate agency to verify the same and also compare the photo in the identify proof with the photo taken in our application. This helps minimize fake ids being created in the match making platforms.

Moreover, the system comprises one or more servers connected to a network, which processes the business logic, and one of more data stores for storing persistent data related to match making profiles and related information. The method comprises the steps where in an unregistered/registered end user looking for match making brokerage service uses the above defined system to view one or more prospective paid, active profiles data and optionally purchase their confidential information without having to mandatorily enroll in a paid membership that provides match making brokerage service for a specific period of time.

US20220070130A1 relates to methods and systems for user communication in an online community and/or website are provided. User profile data may he accessed to from a memory. An analysis system compares the user profile data for the user with a time-dependent goal to determine a result. The time-dependent goal may be determined based on an analysis of a set of (successful) users. A user interface system generates a representation of the result for prompting the user to initiate a communication to a different user based on the time-dependent goal. The representation may comprise a metered representation indicating an amount of progress, by the user, toward the time- dependent goal.

US10120892B2 relates to concepts and technologies are disclosed herein for providing and/or interacting with a profile verification service. A processor executing a profile verification service can receive a request to verify a user profile associated with a user of a social networking application. The processor can identify a computing device associated with the user profile, obtain location data that relates to the user profile and the computing device, and identify an activity associated with the computing device based upon the location data. The processor can determine if the user profile is accurate based upon the activity identified. US20130165234A1 relates to techniques for recommending and establishing connections between users within a gaming social network, designed for connecting users having common gaming interests or characteristics. Embodiments include methods for recommending connections from members of an out-of-game social network, the gaming social network, and gaming activity participants; evaluating user profile information and user characteristics in a gaming social network and gaming activity in a game networking system to determine an appropriate set of connections for a selected user; and presenting graphical user interface content and configurations to enable the suggestion, review, and accepting of recommended connections in the gaming social network.

US20050055231A1 relates to disclosed techniques allow candidates to initiate their own background checks (e.g., identity verification, criminal history) in advance so that employers, recruiters, consumers, or other seeking parties can have all information needed to consider the candidate for engagement. The candidate's pre-screened status is indicated with a seal or identifying mark associated with the candidate's resume, application, service file, or advertising, thereby allowing reviewing parties to identify pre-screened candidates for primary consideration. Information from the background check is compiled into a report that can be accessed online or in hardcopy. The candidate can annotate the report prior to its release to other parties. The report can be associated with an expiration date to prevent engagements based on stale information. A local database containing the various candidates' information can be stocked by Internet data crawler applications that search targeted remote databases. The local database is maintained current, and can be rapidly searched.
