Abstract:
Disclosed is a ligand construct which comprises at least two same or different ligand molecules capable of binding to a cell surface receptor, wherein the ligand molecules are ligated to each other through a spacer. The ligand construct has at least one functional group for binding to a substrate. The ligand construct can be immobilized onto any one of various artificial substrates readily. Therefore, it becomes possible to prepare an artificial matrix on an optimal substrate, whereby the stable cultivation of a cell can be achieved.
