Abstract:
Provided is a material-fixing substrate wherein copper does not have to be used as a catalyst since a cyclic alkyne is provided at a substrate-binding region where a covalent bond is formed to a surface of the substrate, and therefore, for example, when a material to be fixed is a cell, damage to the cell can be reduced. This material-fixing substrate has a to-be-fixed material fixed thereon by a material-fixing agent, wherein the material-fixing agent comprises: a substrate-binding region which forms a covalent bond to the surface of the substrate, and has at least a cyclic alkyne; a hydrophilic region to be bonded to the substrate-binding region; a light-responsive region to be bonded to the hydrophilic region, and the backbone of which is changed by irradiation with light; and an adhesion region to which the material to be fixed adheres.
