Abstract:
A measurement device according to an aspect of the present invention comprises: a generation unit for generating first and second optical pulse trains in which time intervals between optical pulses are constant; a transmission unit for transmitting the first optical pulse train to a target device to be measured; a reception unit for receiving the first optical pulse train returned from the target device; a measurement unit for measuring the number of optical pulses transmitted by the transmission unit during a period from when the transmission unit transmits optical pulses included in the first optical pulse train until when the reception unit receives the optical pulses; a determination unit for determining a phase quantity corresponding to a phase difference between the received first optical pulse train and the second optical pulse train; and a calculation unit for calculating a propagation delay between the measurement device and the target device on the basis of the measured number of optical pulses and the determined phase quantity.
