Abstract:
This measurement device comprises an acquisition unit, a storage unit, and a controller. The acquisition unit acquires a captured image from an imaging unit. The storage unit stores a virtual surface therein. The virtual surface is used for measuring the distance between an object on a road surface in space and the imaging unit. The controller generates a correction parameter on the basis of the difference between the altitude of a virtual surface at an arbitrarily defined location on a road surface and the altitude of the road surface in a real space. The controller corrects a virtual surface-based distance by using the correction parameter.
