Title:
MEASURING DEVICE FOR OPTICAL COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2020/036036
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
This measuring device is provided with: an output means for generating optical signals having n (where n is an integer at least equal to 3) frequencies, excluding a target frequency, among n+1 frequencies at prescribed frequency intervals, and outputting the same to an optical transmission path being measured; a measuring means for measuring the power of an optical signal having the target frequency, generated in the optical transmission path as a result of four-wave mixing of the optical signals having n frequencies, output by the optical transmission path; and a determining means for determining a power spectrum density of nonlinear interference noise generated in the optical transmission path, by multiplying the power of the optical signal having the target frequency by an adjustment value.
