A mechanical extension device for a movable seat unit, the device comprising: a linkage support (1), the linkage support (1) comprising a supporting structure (12), a linkage structure (13) and a seat frame mounting plate (135), and the linkage structure (13) being provided with a side plate (131); a back mechanism (2), the back mechanism (2) being pivotally connected to the linkage support (1) and being configured to be attached to a backrest of the seat unit; and a leg extension structure (3) having a footrest member, the leg extension structure (3) being pivotally connected to the linkage support (1), and the footrest member being attached to a footrest of the seat unit. The seat frame mounting plate (135) and the linkage structure (13) are pivotally hinged at a first hinge point (137), thereby forming a first included angle (α) taking the extending directions of the side plate (131) and the seat frame mounting plate (135) as sides, and during a leaning backwards process of the backrest for achieving the transformation of the seat unit to a lying posture state, the seat frame mounting plate (135) and the linkage structure (13) pivot relative to each other by means of a pivoting mechanism, which leads to the change of the first included angle (α).
