Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a mechanical pencil comprising a cushion spring by which a plurality of cushion action regions that exhibit cushion action with different spring constants are connected without jumping. [Solution] A mechanical pencil according to one embodiment comprises: a shaft; a clutching mechanism that is housed within the shaft and is capable of holding and propelling a lead; and first and second cushion springs that elastically support the clutching mechanism in the axial direction with respect to the shaft. The first and second cushion springs are combined to form a first cushion action region that has a first spring constant and a second cushion action region that has a second spring constant. The first and second cushion action regions are connected without jumping.
