Abstract:
Provided is a mechanical seal capable of eliminating the need for rubber or another elastic body. The present invention comprises: a metal sleeve 120 fixed to a rotating shaft 500; a metal rotating ring 110 fixed to the sleeve 120; a metal cartridge 220 fixed to a housing 600; a metal fixed ring 210 slidably provided on an end surface of the rotating ring 110; and metal bellows 230 that press the fixed ring 210 towards the rotating ring 110. The present invention is characterized by: the rotating ring 110 and the sleeve 120 being coupled by an annular first coupling section that separates an inner circumference surface side and an outer circumference surface side; one end of the bellows 230 and the fixed ring 210 being coupled by an annular second coupling section that separates an inner circumference surface side and an outer circumference surface side; and the other end of the bellows 230 and the cartridge 220 being coupled by an annular third coupling section that separates an inner circumference surface side and an outer circumference surface side.
