Abstract:
The inventive security card lock consists of two panels which can be displaced against each other in parallel. One of said panels has several differently arranged holes. The other panel is provided with several differently located resilient pins. The number and arrangement of the holes corresponds with the number and location of the pins. When the panels are positioned so that they are immediately adjacent and close and flush with each other, the pins engage in the holes and the panels are locked together. They are released from this locked position by a card which has knobs whose number and arrangement correspond exactly with the number and arrangement of the pins or holes. When they are exactly opposite the holes or the pins the knobs push the pins back so far that the panels can be moved as desired. A labyrinth block which has hollows corresponding in number with the pins and which helps to guide the card is placed in front of the panels, in order to prevent any unauthorised manipulation of said pins. The hollows consist of linear and/or curvilinear sections, are congruent to each other and extend in a phase displaced manner.
