Abstract:
The present invention relates to a fuel producing system for a boiler to remove ash-producing ingredients from a fuel and, more specifically, to a mechano-catalytic apparatus and method each being applicable at room temperature and removing ash-producing ingredients in biomass, wherein ash-producing ingredients causing adverse effects, such as fouling, slagging, high-temperature corrosion, and clinker generation, on a heating surface, such as a reactor wall surface or a heat exchanger, upon the operation of a boiler, are removed from herbaceous, woody, and algal biomass by physical and chemical methods, and after the removal, a solid-phase component is utilized as a solid fuel for firing or co-firing while a liquid-phase component containing ash-producing ingredients is subjected to water treatment using a method including acid treatment, alkali treatment, hydrothermal treatment, membrane filtration, ion exchange, flocculation, adsorption, and centrifugation.
