Abstract:
The claimed mechatronic twisted string actuator comprises a body, which is an integrated assembly. The following elements are installed in series in the body: an electric motor driver, a position sensor, an electric motor, a coupling, strings, a bearing assembly and a force sensor. The rotation of the electric motor is transmitted via the coupling to the strings, the one ends of which are rigidly secured in the coupling and the other ends of which are rigidly secured to a working member in order to impart translational movement thereto. The result is compactness.
