Abstract:

A media streaming method and a media controller. Technical solutions in embodiments of the present invention comprise: first, a media controller receiving a media streaming request sent by a user equipment and assigning an index to the user equipment; then, the media controller binding the streaming request of the user equipment and the index and storing same in a correspondence table, and sending the streaming request of the user equipment and the index to a media server; and finally, the media controller receiving data to be streamed that is requested by the streaming request and sent by a storage device, and streaming, by querying the correspondence table, the data to be streamed that is requested by the streaming request to a corresponding user equipment. The media controller stores data to be streamed that is requested by a user and streams the data to a corresponding user equipment, so that data is separated from the CPU of a delivery network, thereby improving the service processing capability of the CPU of the delivery network. Moreover, an index is assigned, so that the address bit width is prevented from increasing when there are too many users.
