Title:
MEDICAL CONNECTOR
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2013/161979
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A first male member (110) and a tubular part (30) are in communication with each other via first through third holes (21-23). The gas channel (212) and the liquid channel (211) of a second male member (210) are in communication with the tubular part. First through third channels (41-43) are formed in a faucet (40). The faucet can switch between a first rotation position that causes the first channel to place the first hole and a tubular syringe connecting part (32) in communication with each other, and a second rotation position that causes the first channel to place the liquid channel and the syringe connecting part in communication with each other. When the faucet is at the second rotation position, the second hole and the gas channel are in communication with each other via the second channel, and the first male member and the inner cavity (45) of the faucet are in communication with each other via the third hole and the third channel. A first hydrophobic filter (50a) is provided to a channel that links the first male member and the gas channel when the faucet is at the second rotation position, and a second hydrophobic filter (50b) is provided to a channel that links the first male member and a faucet-connected gas feed member (410) when the faucet is at the second rotation position.
