Provided is a medical device that can infuse drug solution at a site of medical treatment in human tissue by projecting the tip of an infusion needle at essentially a right angle to the axial direction of the catheter. The infusion needle (12) is disposed via a connecting part (11) on the front end of a drug solution infusion tubing (3), which is inserted in a first lumen (9). With the needle positioned to face an opening (5), allowing an expansion fluid to flow into a balloon (8) through a second lumen (10) initiates the expansion of balloon (8). The balloon (8) abuts the infusion needle (12) and expands as it pushes the infusion needle (12) towards the opening (5) (A). The infusion needle (12) begins to bend with respect to the front end of the drug solution infusion tubing (3) at the connecting part (11). When the balloon (8) expands to a prescribed size, the infusion needle (12) is bent at essentially a right angle with respect to the axial direction of the catheter (1) and the tip of the infusion needle (12) is projected through the opening (5) to the outside the catheter (1) (B).
