Abstract:
Provided is a medical device with which abrupt movements can be restricted, thereby improving safety. A medical device having a main body part (71) connected to one of two members capable of being inserted into lumina and moved relatively, and a sliding part (100) connected to the other of the two members, is further provided with: an operation member (170) which is fixed to the main body part (71), and which is provided with a contact section extending in one direction; a rotational member (162) which is rotatably fixed to the sliding part (100), and which rotates while being in contact with the contact section of the operation member (170); a wheel (160) for rotating the rotational member (162); and a lock mechanism (10) which is capable of restricting the relative movement of the main body part (71) and the sliding part (100), and which is capable of releasing this restriction.
