Abstract:
A medical device having an internal wetting agent and a copolymer of a silicone monomer, and satisfying the following conditions: (1) the internal wetting agent includes a copolymer of a chain compound having an acid group and an amide group; (2) the internal wetting agent is included in the range of 0.1-10% by mass with respect to the entire medical device; (3) the copolymer of a silicone monomer has a hydroxyl group, and the content ratio of the hydroxyl group in the silicone monomer is in the range of 0.0005-0.01 equivalents/g. Through the present invention, a medical device can be obtained that has excellent transparency and hydrophilicity and that includes an internal wetting agent.
