Abstract:
Medical systems and devices are provided for engaging tissue (T), e.g. for clipping tissue (T), closing a perforation or performing hemostasis. Generally, the medical system (20) including a housing (42), first (44) and second (46) jaws rotatable relative to the housing (42), first (68) and second (70) links pivotally (81) attached to the jaws (44, 46), and a driver (48). The housing (42), first (44) and second (46) jaws, and first (68) and second (70) links form a linkage mechanism that allows the jaws (44, 46) to engage tissue (T) and be left in vivo.
