Abstract:
This disclosure pertains to a medical observation system, a control device, and a control method with which it is possible to avoid losing sight of an observation region. From a wide-angle field image acquired by an imaging device for capturing an image of an observation region at a wide angle of view, an enlarged field image the field range of which is changed is generated. If the occurrence of a movement of the imaging device has been recognized on the basis of the recognized movement of the imaging device, output is switched from the enlarged field image to the wide-angle field image, and thereafter if the stop of the movement of the imaging device has been recognized, output is switched from the wide-angle field image to the enlarged field image. The present technology is applicable, for example, to a medical observation system for capturing an image of a surgical site as an observation region.
