DETAILED DESCRIPTION

[0004] As used herein, the term "includes" means includes but not limited to, the term "including" means including but not limited to. The terms "a" and "an" are intended to denote at least one of a particular element. The term "based on" means based at least in part on.

[0005] Figs. 1 and 2 show assembled and exploded views of a medicine delivery nurser or bottle 100 in examples of the present disclosure. Bottle 100 includes a top 102, a body 104, a base 106 (also referred to as a "syringe chamber"), and a medicine syringe 108.

[0006] Fig. 3 is a cut-away view that shows the details of top 102 in examples of the present disclosure. Top 102 has a pliant dome 110 and a rigid collar 112. Dome 110 has a ducted nipple 114 with openings 116. Internally dome 110 includes a tube or port 302 that extends downward from nipple 114. Tube 302 has one end centered about at least one opening 116. Tube 302 has another end open to receive medicine. Other openings in nipple 114 are open to the rest of top 102 to receive an infant's drink. Collar 112 has internal threads 304 to secure top 102 to body 104. Alternatively collar 112 has a threaded neck to secure top 102 to body 104.

[0007] Top 102 may be an integral piece where dome 110 is integrated with collar 112. For example, top 102 may be made in an over-mold process where dome 110 is molded over collar 112. Alternatively dome 110 and collar 112 may be separate components where a flanged dome 110 fits through collar 112 and is secured when collar 112 screws onto body 104. [0008] Referring back to Fig. 2, body 104 is generally cylindrical. Body 104 may have a slight flare near its bottom end. Body 104 has a top open end 118 and a bottom open end 120. At top open end 120, body 102 has a threaded neck 122 to receive top 102.

Alternatively top open end 120 has internal threads to receive top 102. At bottom open end 120, body 102 has a threaded neck 124 to receive base 106. Alternatively bottom open end 122 has internal threads to receive base 106.

[0009] Body 104 provides a rigid shape that a user can easily grip. The outer surface of body 104 may be tacky to improve grip. The outer surface of body 104 may include dimples, bumps, or other patterns that improve grip. The outer surface of body 104 may be marked to indicate the volume of the liquid content in container 100. Part of body 104 may be transparent to see the drink level within bottle 100 and also the medicine level in medicine syringe 108. Body 104 may be a single injection molded part or a double injection molded part with a hard interior and a soft and tacky exterior.

[0010] Referring to both Figs. 2 and 4, base 106 includes a rounded cup 126 and a barrel 128 that extends concentrically upward from the floor 130 of rounded cup 402. Cup 126 has internally threads 132 (Fig. 2) to receive threaded neck 124 of body 104. Alternatively cup 126 has a threaded neck to engage body 104. Cup 126 includes a one-way air valve 134 (Fig. 2) over air vents 402 (Fig. 4) through the floor 130 to allow air to enter bottle 100. Cup 126 may have a skirt 136 that extends downward beyond floor 130. Parts of skirt 136 may be shorter than the other to ease the insertion, application, and removal of medicine syringe 108.

[0011] Barrel 128 has a narrowed tip 138 on a distal end and a proximate end forms an opening 404 (Fig. 4) through floor 130 of cup 126. Tip 138 is inserted into tube 302 (Fig. 3) in nipple 114 when bottle 100 (Figs. 1 and 2) is fully assembled in examples of the present disclosure.

[0012] In use, base 106 may be twisted onto body 102 to form an open bottle 100, which may be filled with an infant's drink. Top 102 may then be twisted on. Medicine syringe 108 may be filled with medicine and inserted into opening 404 of barrel 128 at the bottom of base 106. Medicine may then be dispensed by depressing the plunger of medicine syringe 108 while the infant feeds from bottle 100.

[0013] Figs. 5, 6, 7, and 8 shows additional views of bottle 100 in examples of the present disclosure. [0014] Fig. 9 is an exploded view of a variation of bottle 100 of Fig. 1 (hereafter "bottle 900") in examples of the present disclosure. In bottle 900, air valve 134 has been replaced by a one-way air valve 934. Air valve 934 has a ring-shape and it fits around barrel 128 to be seated in base 106 over air vents 402.

[0015] Figs. 10 and 11 show additional views of bottle 900 in examples of the present disclosure.

[0016] Various other adaptations and combinations of features of the examples disclosed are within the scope of the invention.
