Title:
MEDIUM CONVEYING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2012/173176
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to make it possible to effectively correct variations in amount of feed caused by a seam in a belt. In this belt-type conveying device (100), a mark (55), such as a hole, is provided on the feed side of a seam (54) in a belt (53). The belt (53) is provided with a first rotary encoder (1) and a second rotary encoder (2), and an optical sensor (13) is provided in the vicinity of the back feed side of the first rotary encoder (1). When the belt (53) moves and the optical sensor (13) detects the mark (55), the active encoder, which actually detects the feed of the belt (53), is switched from the first rotary encoder (1) to the second rotary encoder (2). When the seam (54) passes the first rotary encoder (1) and the belt (53) moves by a predetermined amount of feed, the active encoder is switched from the second rotary encoder (2) to the first rotary encoder (1). As a result, the feed at the seam (54) is not detected by the encoders.
