Abstract:
Provided are a medium ejection device, a control method, and a control program, whereby it is possible to satisfactorily eject a medium while satisfactorily capture an image of the medium. This medium ejection device comprises: an image-capturing unit that captures an image of a medium and generates an input image; an ejection roller that is disposed downstream of the image-capturing unit in the medium ejection direction so as to eject the medium, the image of which has been captured by the image-capturing unit; a sensor that is disposed between the image-capturing unit and the ejection roller so as to detect part of the rear end of the medium; a detection unit that detects the amount of inclination of the medium; a determination unit that, when part of the rear end of the medium has passed through the sensor, determines whether or not the entire rear end of the medium has passed through the image-capturing position by the image-capturing unit on the basis of the amount of inclination; and a control unit that controls the ejection roller on the basis of the determination result by the determination unit.
