Abstract:
During transfer processing in a paper currency deposit/withdrawal machine for an automatic teller machine, paper currency stored in a transfer source paper currency storage container is conveyed to a deposit/withdrawal unit, the paper currency is then conveyed to a temporary holding unit by the conveyance unit while recognition is performed by a recognition unit, and normal paper currency is conveyed to a transfer destination paper currency storage container and stored therein. As a result, the paper currency deposit/withdrawal machine is capable of transferring paper currency stored in the transfer source paper currency storage container to the transfer destination paper currency storage container, and by performing recognition processing by means of the recognition unit on this occasion, it is possible to recognize the denomination of each piece of paper currency, the degree of damage thereto, and the like again and tally the total number of stored pieces of paper currency again.
