Abstract:
Provided is a medium processing device, comprising: a conveyance unit which conveys a paper sheet-shaped medium along a conveyance path; a drive transmission unit which is disposed within the conveyance unit, transmits a driving force from a prescribed driving force source to the medium, and causes said medium to progress along the conveyance path; an operation knob which is disposed upon an operation-side surface which is one surface of the conveyance unit and which is for operating the drive transmission unit manually; and a storage vault which stores the medium therewithin, and which is capable of transitioning between an abutting state of being coupled with the conveyance path and abutting a range of the operation-side surface of the conveyance unit which includes at least the operation knob and a non-abutting state of being separated from the conveyance path and not abutting the operation-side surface.
