Abstract:
The invention provides a medium separate-feed mechanism that reduces the causes of jams and errors in conveyor paths, etc. subsequent to feeding. That is, by making the skew angle of the medium when the medium arrives at the gate section to be less than a limiting angle θmax above which skewing increases, the invention is able to prevent medium rotation at the overlap point in the direction that increases the skew angle, the rotation occurring as a result of the medium arriving at the overlap point.
