Abstract:
Provided are a member for a capacitive sensor and a capacitive sensor employing same, which alleviate deterioration in the degree of change in capacitance arising between an input body and an electrode as a result of either a close approach operation or a contact operation of the input body even if a stable metallic glossy appearance is present, and which are also inexpensive and can be efficiently manufactured. This invention relates to a member for a capacitive sensor, comprising: a sheet member, further comprising an operation surface (S) wherein either a close approach operation or a contact operation is carried out by an input body; and an electrode that is positioned on a surface that is opposite to the operation surface of the sheet member. The sheet member further comprises a decorative layer which is provided with a metallic gloss. The decorative layer is a continuous film made of either silicon or an alloy of silicon and a metal.
