Abstract:
Provided is a membrane-electrode assembly having enhanced adhesion between a polymer electrolyte membrane and a catalyst layer and enhanced durability of the catalyst layer. An embodiment of the present invention provides a membrane-electrode assembly comprising a polymer electrolyte membrane and a catalyst layer provided on at least one surface of the polymer electrolyte membrane, wherein the catalyst layer comprises a first composite and a second composite, the first composite includes: a support; a first catalyst supported on the support and including first metal particles; and a first ionomer coated on the surface of the first catalyst, the second composite includes: a second catalyst which includes second metal particles and is not supported on a support; and a second ionomer that is not coated on the surface of the second catalyst, and the first ionomer and the second ionomer are identical to or different from each other.
