Abstract:
The present disclosure provides a practical menstrual blood volume detection device that easily performs measurement of total menstrual blood volume during a menstrual period. The menstrual blood volume detection device according to the present disclosure comprises: a menstrual blood volume measurement unit (1) that measures the amount of menstrual blood attached to or soaked in at least one sanitary product worn by a user during a menstrual period; and a total menstrual blood volume estimation unit (2) that calculates the total menstrual blood volume estimation value as an estimation value of the total volume of menstrual blood discharged by the user during a menstrual period on the basis of at least one menstrual blood volume measurement value output by the menstrual blood volume measurement unit (1). In order for a user to determine the estimated total menstrual blood volume, there is no need to perform measurement of the amount of menstrual blood attached to or soaked in the sanitary product every time the sanitary product is replaced and the estimated total menstrual blood volume value can be acquired on the basis of at least one menstrual blood volume measurement value. As such a practical menstrual blood volume detection device that easily detects total menstrual blood volume can be provided. Furthermore, with this device, a user can be aware of her periods and easily evaluate, e.g., excessive menstruation.
