Abstract:
A merchandise sales data processing device according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: an acquisition means for acquiring identification information about merchandise in accordance with an operation of a customer; a registration means for registering information associated with a purchase amount of the merchandise corresponding to the identification information; a calculation means for calculating the total amount of merchandise on the basis of the information registered by the registration means; a notification means for executing a process to call a store employee if the total amount exceeds a prescribed upper limit amount; and a restriction means for restricting the operation of the customer associated with the registration of the merchandise if the total amount exceeds the prescribed upper limit amount.
