Abstract:
A mercury oxidation catalyst (10) for oxidizing metal mercury contained in exhaust gas contains a cerium-containing oxide represented by Ce1-xMxO2-d (where M is a bivalent or trivalent metallic element, 0 ≤ x < 1, and d is the oxygen deficiency amount).
