Abstract:
[Problem] To efficiently reduce the quantity of mercury contained in cement kiln exhaust gas at low cost. [Solution] A mercury reduction device 11 for cement kiln exhaust gas is provided with: a mixing and heating device 19 that, while mixing cement kiln dust D2, D4 contained in combustion exhaust gas G1 of a cement kiln with cement raw material R2 dispensed from a cyclone 4C (or 4B), other than a top-level cyclone 4D and a bottom-level cyclone 4A, of a pre-heater 4 that pre-heats cement raw material R1, heats the mixture with sensible heat of the cement raw material R2; a mercury recovery device 21 that recovers mercury Hg which has volatilized from the cement kiln dust D2, D4 due to the mixing and heating; and a supply device that supplies mercury-removed dust D5, D6 discharged from the mixing and heating device 19 to a cyclone 4B (or 4A) located at a lower level than the cyclone 4C (or 4B) from which the cement raw material R2 was dispensed.
